Blithe Spirit, written by Noel Coward and directed by Dorrie Braun, comes to the Orcas Center main stage with an all-local cast and production team.
A love triangle set between this world and the next, Blithe Spirit, offers great comic relief as we watch Charles Condomine and his friends hold a séance that inadvertently conjures up his deceased first wife. Lighthearted and endearing, this otherworldly classic combines farce, emotion and wit to goosebump-giving effect.
The Cast features all Orcas-Islanders including Alyssa Burnett (Edith), Dorrie Braun (Ruth), Larry Hampel (Charles), Catherine Petroff (Mrs. Bradman), Ed Lambert (Dr. Bradman), Sukima Hampton (Madame Arcati), and Aaimee Johnson (Elvira).
Supporting the production behind the scenes are Dorrie Braun (who plays double duty as Actress and Director), Lynda Sanders (Assistant Director), Anna Meyer (Costume Mistress), Tom McDonough (Light and Sound Technician), and Orcas Center staff Jake Perrine and Jamey Morarity (Light and Sound Design).
Blithe Spirit runs on the Orcas Center Main Stage March 9-18. Curtain opens Thursday – Saturday at 7pm, with a 2pm matinee on Sunday, March 12. Tickets range $15-$59. Masking is encouraged in the theatre, but no longer required. For tickets and more information visit www.OrcasCenter.org or call the Orcas Center Box Office at: 360-376-2281 x 100.
