Juncos are singing and bluebirds are on the way! It’s time to think Audubon.
With Christmas Bird Count finally wrapped up and spring at our heels it is time to get out and enjoy birds.
The first field trip of the year will be on Lopez, Saturday, February 19th. Meet at 8:15 a.m. at Center Church, trip over around noon. Look for winter waterfowl, raptors, and the possibility of arriving tree swallows. Everyone welcome. More info call 468-2258.
Those coming from other islands will need to catch a ferry that leaves between 6:25 & 7:30 am. Return ferry leaves at 2:40 so this can be a whole day birding and maybe doing other things on Lopez. Contact your friends on your island to carpool to Lopez.
