Saturday, April 12, 11 a.m., Eastsound
— from Orcas Chamber of Commerce —
Are you a Parade Phanatic? Love to dress up? Then grab your funny beak … plump up your colorful plume … and join in the fun. You are invited to join in the fun this Saturday at 11 am for the 1st Annual Orcas Island Bird & Wildlife Festival’s Bring Your Bird Parade! Everyone is welcome to take part.
And we want to see your Birds! Wrap-up your Western Sandpiper … Bring your Bonaparte’s Gull … Lasso your Lesser Yellowlegs! Heck, even bring your Chickens! Carry them under your arm, or put them in a cart… We want people dressed as birds, and the fowl that inspire them! Let’s have some fun.
The fun and frivolity gets underway at 11 am. Meet at Hogstone Wood Fired parking lot (Main Street & Urner Street), and we will strut, stroll … maybe even fly up North Beach to the Village Green.
We want kids of all ages (and adults, too!) Contact the Chamber of Commerce by email or phone (360-376-2273) to let us know you want to join in the fun!
