Saturday – Sunday, November 2 – 3, Healing Arts Center

— from Anita Holladay for Healing Arts Center —

The Healing Arts Center’s biannual Healing Arts Fair is coming up on the
weekend of November 2–3, 2019. This fair represents the Center’s outreach to the Orcas Island community; all are invited to sample the many services of their practitioners, at greatly discounted fees.

Among these are massage and other bodywork from nine therapists, acupuncture, astrology readings from Alisé Prejean, and consultations from a nurse practitioner, Mara Williams, ANP-BC.

Two women have very recently joined the Healing Arts team: April Hinsberger, MSN, MSAOM, is a nurse practitioner who will be offering integrative medicine, which includes primary care, acupuncture, and massage, in her practice. She is joining Danielle Dyer, L.Ac., in offering acupuncture at the Fair.

The other new arrival as practitioner is Leonie Van Gelder, LMT, sister of the late founding member, acupuncturist Ian Van Gelder. Leonie’s fair offerings will be a blend of massage with Therapeutic Touch and sound therapies.

These fairs help raise funds for much-needed improvements to the historic Eastsound building that the HAC has maintained for over 30 years; all practitioners donate their services to the non-profit. You may sign up in advance for a session at 453 North Beach Road or by phoning 360-376-4002; best times are M–F, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. More information on practitioners is available at the website orcashealingarts.org.
