The San Juan Islands route will be on its Winter Weekend Schedule beginning Monday, Oct. 4 while the Tilikum remains out of service with a generator issue. The route will be on this schedule for at least a week. Switching to this schedule will help maintain service and better supplement interisland travel while the Tilikum is being repaired.
Due to operating on a different schedule, the following reservation changes have been made:
- New reservations for travel in the San Juan Islands for Oct. 4-8 are closed. The suspension will leave capacity for those looking to travel between islands.
- Due to different sailing times, existing reservation holders should try to catch the sailing closest to their original departure time and will be prioritized on a first-come, first-served basis. Passengers with previously secured reservations should plan on arriving early to their departing terminal and may encounter longer waits.
- Reservation holders who choose not to travel this week will not incur a fee.
- Space for those traveling standby without a reservation will be extremely limited.
Thank you for your continued patience and understanding while we work to maintain our fleet. Crews are working as quickly and safely as possible to return the Tilikum back to service. We will continue to provide additional updates as they become available.
The safety of our customers and crew is WSF’s top priority. All traveling customers are required to wear face coverings inside terminals and vessels in compliance with the latest CDC guidelines. However, passengers can remove their masks while outdoors on the sun deck, car deck areas of the vessel, outside waiting areas at terminals and other outdoor locations. Please remember to mask up upon reentering interior areas of boats and terminals.
