5:15 p.m. – August 6, 2017 – Orcas Island Fire and Rescue are currently providing mutual aid to the San Juan County Sheriffs Department for extreme congestion and crowd control near the Orcas Ferry Terminal.
The ferry delays have resulted in hundreds of vehicles stuck in the ferry area. This is creating a road and pedestrian hazard.
Please avoid the Orcas Ferry holding area and surrounding roads if at all possible.
