||| AS THE PARADIGM SHIFTS by ROSIE KUHN |||
I don’t know about you, but there’s a whole lot of shaking going on inside me. Sure, the world around us is quaking with change — political, environmental, social — but there’s also an inner tremor, a visceral, emotional, mental, even energetic wacka-wacka that’s hard to describe!

Sometimes it feels like it’s just me coming unglued, but truly, every one of us — humans, animals, even the sun, the moon and Mother Earth herself — is experiencing an unfamiliar rumbling-through. Earthquakes, volcanoes — for some it’s on the outside, for some it’s on the inside. Fun, right?
Aside from religious writings about the Rapture and ascension, we haven’t had much language for this. We’re being stretched by a process of consciousness evolving through us — and it’s shaking everything loose.
If consciousness really is stretching itself through everything — through me, through you, through the trees and tides — then maybe this shaking isn’t just chaos. Maybe it’s communication. Maybe what we’re calling symptoms are simply the body’s way of keeping up with the vibrational shift occurring everywhere, always.
I don’t know about you, but my own system has been humming, pulsing, trembling — sometimes erupting in ways I can’t explain. Sometimes it feels wonderful, oddly familiar — like a language I once knew but forgot how to speak. Natural and true. Sometimes, though, it really sucks, and I think I’m going out of my mind — “Get me out of here!!!”
You too may be noticing similar oddities — a restlessness under your ribs, a surge of emotion for no reason at all, a dizziness when nothing’s spinning. Maybe it’s not something to fix. Maybe it’s something to listen to.
If this shaking is happening in everyone and everything, then each of us becomes a field of research — our own living laboratory. The question isn’t What’s wrong with me? but What’s unfolding? What’s being rearranged through me?
I’ve tried naming it, diagnosing it, outsmarting it — but what if the wiser move is simply to be with it? To allow the experience to be experienced without assessing, diagnosing, controlling, or outsmarting it.
Maybe the body trembles when the old frequencies can’t quite hold the new light. Maybe emotion swells because the heart can no longer stay contained. Maybe confusion itself is the first sign that the mind is loosening its grip, making room for a different kind of knowing.
If that’s true, then the invitation isn’t to escape the shaking but to trust it.
To pause long enough to feel what’s actually happening inside this quiver of aliveness.
To ask, quietly: What part of me is trying to wake up right now?
Trusting
For centuries, we’ve been taught to believe that only the tangible and measurable is real — that what can’t be seen, weighed, graphed, or replicated doesn’t exist.
There’s no doubt that material sciences have given us breathtaking understanding of the physical world. At the same time, though, they’ve also trained us to deny, ignore, and look away from what can’t be proved. In this narrow band of reality, the trembling, the intuition, the sense of presence beyond the visible are dismissed as imagination or dysfunction. What this does to our inner world is heart-wrenching. It has required compliance with external experts and authority. It has required that we deny, dismiss, and distrust our own experience and our own knowing.
Now, more than ever, we have access to the non-material sciences: consciousness studies, quantum fields, inner knowing, thought leaders in the realms of the spiritual and metaphysical.
Thinkers like David Clements, Stefan Burns, and others remind us that reality is not a closed box. They engage us in all the ways each of us is participating in the evolution of something far beyond our understanding or conceptualization. It’s mind-blowing what we can now glimpse through YouTube, AI, and our own direct experiences.
What’s happening in the cosmos is happening within us at the very same time. And for the first time ever, not only do we have a front-row seat in witnessing our own becoming — we are on the field, engaging in this phenomenal evolution of reality. US! Yeowee!
Okay — that may sound a little “out there” for some. I get it! It’s pretty edgy for me, too. However, when I expose myself to those who see the world through a lens with an aperture far wider than we’ve been allowed to imagine, my curiosity awakens. I want to see through their lens. I want to know the world through the wide aperture of infinite potential. Even as a reluctant adventurer, I want to participate more fully — even though I don’t have a clue what that means.
It’s so much more fun, right?
These diametrically opposed paradigms are now meeting — sometimes with friction, sometimes in harmony. The brain demands evidence: “Just the facts, ma’am.” The heart whispers, “I already know.” That friction may be the very heat of a converging awakening — the moment when mind and heart begin to remember they were never separate. Coherence!!!
So rather than shrinking from uncertainty, fearing the questions, or deferring to someone else’s expertise, each and every one of us is invited to become the meeting place of what’s truly unfolding. The logical scientist and the intuitive mystic both live within us. The question shifts from Which is true? to How do I allow space for both to inform my becoming?
The Dilemma
When we begin to live as the meeting place of the logical and the nonsensical — where the paradigm shifts — another dilemma arises: the dilemma of how to choose what to choose.
We want the right answer, the clear path, the guaranteed outcome. But this next stretch of evolution doesn’t offer that kind of certainty. It requires us to let go of the need to control the process or predict the outcome. It asks us to take a breather and rest in the not-knowing — to allow the spacious pause where no “right” answer exists.
This space can be excruciating. Because…
In this space, something greater than our thinking-self begins to participate. Guidance doesn’t arrive as data or decree; it arrives as resonance — the quiet hum of truth within the body, a moment of coherence between the mind’s curiosity and the heart’s knowing.
There’s growing evidence — not just in cosmic language but in lived experience — that the Universe is speaking more clearly now. Through synchronicities. Through physical sensations that seem to have no physical explanation. Through an ache, a dream, a word that repeats itself until we listen. Through relationships coming together or falling apart. Through a great influx of wealth — or the loss of it all. Through symptoms of a severe illness that arise from nowhere and disappear just as quickly.
The Universe speaks to us individually, so there are infinite possibilities for how you are personally informed.
What many call Ascension symptoms might actually be the body and psyche adjusting to a new bandwidth of awareness — the signal becoming stronger, the static burning off. Fun!! Right??
A Whole Lotta Shakin’ Still Goin’ On

So maybe Elvis was right — there is a whole lot of shaking going on. Not just out there in the headlines, but in here, in the physical and metaphysical rhythm of our becoming. The difference now is that we’re learning not to run from the tremors or medicate the angst that comes with uncertainty.
The shaking might just be the music of creation itself — the resonance and dissonance of reality rearranging, the pulse of consciousness waking up through us. Every wobble, every shiver, every uncertainty might be the Universe helping us keep in step with the rhythm of our evolution.
So, when your world tilts, your heart races, or your mind can’t find its footing, maybe you’ll smile — and let yourself dance a little to that deeper beat. Because, baby… there’s still a whole lot of shaking going on.
Hey, just to let you know, I’m going to take a bit of a sabbatical from writing. I’m not sure when I’ll return—I’m just following my heart. But if you want more of my writing you can check out my website. I have a whole lot of writing going on there. www.theparadigmshifts.com. And, I’m always open to coaching clients, so if you know someone you think might benefit from a session or two with me, just pass on my email: rosie@theparadigmshifts.com
I’m grateful to all of you who read my writing and especially those of you who let me know that you read my writing. I look forward to more fun on the flip side!
