Linda Kirtz with her artwork

Linda Kirtz’s pastel paintings of American Camp on San Juan Island will be featured at the Orcas Island Artworks through the month of October.

“I first saw the San Juans in the 1970’s with a team of artists who were visiting elementary schools in the area. I fell in love with the light, terrain and buildings at American Camp. In 2006 I was able to live in Eagle Cove, right next door to the park.” Inspired by the changing light of the seasons, Linda has been working on these paintings ever since.

A graduate of George Washington University with a major in fine arts, Linda spent time studying art in Europe before settling in the Pacific Northwest. She moved to Orcas Island in 2009.

The Artworks, located in Olga,  is open daily 10 to 6.
