CALLING ALL LOCAL ARTISTS! The Visual Arts committee of Orcas Center is pleased to announce the first Art Opening of 2022: ART UNLOCKED – PANDEMIC PRODUCTIONS, to be held from March 4 to April 12.
We hope to cover all of the walls of the lobby and the Madrona Room with the beautiful and inspirational work of Orcas Island Artists!
“Art Unlocked” will be a retrospective of our creations during these last two years. We welcome all forms of art: two-dimensional, three-dimensional, fabric art, ceramics, metal, etc. It can be for sale or not. All art must be ready for display — Wall art needs to have a hanging wire securely fastened on the back. One to two pieces per artist, please!
If you are interested in having your work displayed on the Orcas Center Website as well, please email digital images of each piece, along with artist name, title of piece, size of each piece, price, and statement (if desired) to info@OrcasCenter.org by Wednesday, March 2.
Important Dates and Times:
- Wednesday, March 2: 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. — Bring Art to Orcas Center, send corresponding digital images to info@OrcasCenter.org
- Friday, March 4: 5:30pm to 7pm — Opening Reception
- Wednesday, April 13: 10am to 12pm — Pick-up Art from Orcas Center
COVID precautions will be followed for the Art Opening on Friday, March 4: Proof of vaccination will be required at the door for all ages 11+ and masks are required inside of Orcas Center.
