Sunday, November 10, 11:30 a.m., Benson Hall, Emmanuel Episcopal Church

— from Suzanne Olson —

Please join us for a service on Armistice Day led by Sharon Abreu and Mike Hurwicz with music on Sunday, November 10 at Emmanuel Episcopal Church’s Benson Hall, at 11:30 a.m.

Some food for thought:

“Armistice Day has become Veterans’ Day. Armistice Day was sacred. Veterans’ Day is not. So I will throw Veterans’ Day over my shoulder. Armistice Day I will keep. I don’t want to throw away any sacred things.” -Kurt Vonnegut

“War may sometimes be a necessary evil. But no matter how necessary, it is always an evil, never a good. We will not learn how to live together in peace by killing each other’s children.” -Jimmy Carter

Plan to stay after for a potluck coffee hour of finger foods (please bring some) — and donations of canned food or $$ for the Food Bank will be collected.

All are welcome. Please let us know if you need a ride, or have other needs that the Fellowship can help with.
