Corporations' "personhood" defended in "United Citizens" Supreme Court Decision

Sunday, November 6 from 2 to 5 p.m. at Eastsound Fire Hall

The public is invited to a free community forum, “SuperCitizens: How Corporations Claimed the Rights of People.”

The event will be an Interactive Presentation on Corporate Personhood, facilitated by Brian Gunn of Involved Democracy, which says, “The US Supreme Court’s Citizens United decision gives undue influence in electoral politics to giant multi-national corporations and is having a devastating effect on social, economic and environmental justice in America. Join this interactive presentation to learn about the historical underpinnings of corporate personhood.

“Participate in defining the scope of the problem we face and help decide how we can work together to put electoral power back into the hands of the People.”
