Today everything I see asks me to say Yes
Yes to the gold light on the firs
Yes to the windows spotted with
months of rain and wind
Yes to the clutter that weighs me down
Yes to the garden where I could
work and be refreshed
even though the air chills me through
Yes to my breath that longs to go deeper
Yes to my body that wants to stretch and twist
and generate the energy I need
to say Yes to today
