In recognition of Poetry Month, and to celebrate our treasure trove of Orcas Island poets, Orcas Issues is pleased and honored to offer daily poetry during April.
ROTTING SEA
— by Lin McNulty —
On a warm, sunny day
Which follows several
Warm, sunny days,
Wind wuthers ashore
The fragrance
Of rotting sea
Brackish seaweed
Lays on the beach,
Introduces its reek
To open air,
Fills my nostrils
With beloved odor
Of life.
