Reed Grass
When will the grass
be most beautiful,
I asked.
You said, look at it
now.
It was deep green,
firm blades
painting streaks
against an indigo sky.
How long will it
last, I ask
the lines on your
face,
the winter
of your
hair
and I see snow
falling on bronze
plumes.

What a beautiful passage of words!
