In recognition of Poetry Month, and to celebrate our treasure trove of Orcas Island poets, Orcas Issues is pleased and honored to offer daily poetry during April.
ON CRESCENT BEACH
by David Kobrin
for Dave Johnson
This day
is Dave’s dream:
His silver wrist-cuffs
like a summer sun;
whitecaps
for sea gulls;
island children
on the beach, like sheep;
blown clouds.
And the tide,
without a word.

David,
Beautiful.
Reading your poem is a perfect way to start the day.
Thank you.
