We Are Dumber Than Frogs

My seventh grade
science teacher exclaimed
Frogs are not very smart

If placed in a pot
of hot water
they will jump out
But
If the water is heated
Slowly
they will stay there until
they boil to death

Thinking of the global
kettle we are in
I realize that
Frogs are smarter than people
Because frogs
don’t light the flame
under their own pot
