Sunday, April 24, 2 – 5 p.m., High School Art Room
— from David Turnoy —
On Sunday, April 24, 2016, A-OK (Art for Orcas Kids) will host another fun-filled day at The Clay Café from 2-5 p.m. at the High School Art Room. A-OK is a program of OIEF (Orcas Island Education Foundation) which brings local artists into Orcas Elementary and Middle schools to provide art instruction to K-8 students. A-OK art classes are totally funded by grants, private donations, and events like The Clay Café.
You can support art in your school and have fun creating something beautiful by coming to The Clay Cafe! Choose a mug, bowl, tile, plate, vase, spoon rest, travel beverage tumbler, and more, and paint it with the colorful glazes provided. Your designs can get as creative as you want! A-OK will fire the pieces and they will be ready for pick-up at the school in time for Mother’s Day or Father’s Day.
People of any age can have fun at The Clay Café. Remember to bring your family and friends! Come and enjoy some yummy drinks and treats while you let your creative juices flow! All proceeds support A-OK’s K-8 art program in the public schools…and this time, we have a commitment of matching funds that will double your support dollars. Hope to see you there.
