Kaleidoscope’s Annual Island Grown, Island Raised Dinner Auction taking place Saturday, September 8 at the picturesque Morning Star Farm. This outdoor event will feature a tasting of wine from Lopez Island Vineyards and beer from Island Hoppin’ Brewery, as well as authentic fiesta meal prepared by Chef Madden Surbaugh. The silent auction includes many items generously donated by our island businesses and Kaleidoscope supporters.
From loads of gravel to romantic dinners to dream vacations, there is something for everyone to raise their pen and bid on. All proceeds from our silent auction will benefit Kaleidoscope Preschool and Child Care Center, supporting quality early learning on Orcas Island.
The mission of Kaleidoscope is to provide safe, affordable, consistent, high quality preschool and child care services while supporting the families of Orcas Island. Your support at our annual fundraising event helps us to continue this mission. Kaleidoscope is a vital organization in our island community. Reliable, year-round child care options allow families to be gainfully and locally employed. At Kaleidoscope, we proudly provide care to over 75 enrolled children ages 4 weeks to 12 years, recently expanding to include a new Waddler Classroom.
