Announcing 6th Annual Island Market / Funhouse Commons gingerbread house contest

Get ready for the 6th Annual Gingerbread House Contest sponsored by the Funhouse Commons & Island Market , a holiday Gingerbread House Contest for ALL AGES with cash prizes!

Registration to participate in the gingerbread house competition opens on Monday, October 12th through the Funhouse Commons website. There are no entry fees to participate but you must register by Monday, November 30th in order to participate! Only one (1) entry per person, though households may submit multiple entries. All projects must be delivered to the Funhouse Commons on Sunday, Dec. 6th between 10am-12:30pm.

This year, in addition to the contest, we are hosting a Gingerbread House Contest Party at the Funhouse on Sunday, December 6th from 1:00-3:00 pm for all to come and enjoy some holiday cheer. All of the amazing gingerbread houses will be on display, and there will be plenty of hot cocoa and snacks. We will have crafts, games, and a holiday photo booth! Visitors will also be able to vote on the “Peoples Choice Award” for the crowd favorite gingerbread house. All are welcome!

Need candy for your build? Come by the Funhouse between 3:30-5:30 M-F to pick up some candy for free!

Winners will be announced at the Gingerbread House Contest Party and winning projects will be transported to Island Market on Monday, December 7th for display. Winners will be able to pick up their projects from Island Market from December 28th-January 2nd. Any projects left at Island Market after January 2nd will be given away or discarded.
