Come cheer for our kids and share the fun of watching them experience the joy of cooking on Saturday, April 17 at the school Home Ec Room behind the cafeteria!

What was originally thought to be a two-day event has been worked into a sizzling one-day cook-off!

Competing beginning at 9:30 a.m. will be:  Evan King and Lillyan Otto (Kindergarten) with Sweet and Salty Breakfast Pizza, Arla Sutton (Second Grade) with Orange-Almond Granola, Madison Pollock (Second Grade) with Wagon Wheel Casserole, and Meg Mayhew Waage (Third Grade) with a Taco Salad.

Competing starting at 12:30 p.m. will be Cedar Parker Pavitt (Sixth Grade) with Caribbean Quesadillas, Ray Doss (Sixth Grade) with Ray’s Bigfoot Burgers, Kaya Osborn (Sixth Grade) with Spiced Blackberry Zucchini Cake, Zach Waage (Sixth Grade) with Sesame Lemon Honey Chicken, Nile Reed (Ninth Grade) with Maple Vanilla Panna Cotta with Blackberry Sauce, and Kelsey Whitaker (Tenth Grade) with Orcas Melange.

Judges will be Barbara Kline, Mia Kartiganer, Kathy McDowell, Zach Holley and Mackie Cardinell.  Our Master of Ceremonies for the event will be Kyle Freeman. The Awards Ceremony will be at 3 p.m. – Come cheer your kids and fellow students on to victory!

Admission at the door will be $10 for adults and kids 0-18 free.  All sponsor and admission proceeds benefit the Orcas Island Farm to Cafeteria Program.
