What
Anacortes Honor — a Puget Sound Anglers & Salmon for Soldiers event welcoming 50 military veterans and active-duty service members for a fully sponsored day of bottom dwelling fishing, fellowship, and appreciation.
Twenty volunteer fishing vessels will donate their boats, fuel, time, and expertise to ensure each veteran experiences a meaningful day on the water at no cost to the veterans.
When
Join us dockside at Cap Sante Marina:
6:00 AM – Pledge of Allegiance & Fleet Send-Off
Help us send the boats out for the day.
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM – Welcome the Fleet Home
Come cheer as the boats return with the day’s catch.
Bring your flags. Bring your kids.
Let’s line the docks and show up for those who have served.

Why
Puget Sound Anglers San Juan Islands / Puget Sound Chapter and Salmon for Soldiers (salmonforsoldiers.org) provides therapeutic fishing experiences to honor and thank veterans for their service. The Anacortes Honor event is entirely volunteer-driven and supported by the local community.
