Ana/SJs – Prepare for Downsizing Starting Monday, 2/15
Due to necessary repairs, the Samish is out of service until further notice. The Kitsap will replace the Samish beginning Monday, Feb. 15, downsizing the route from a 144-car vessel to a 124-car vessel. Reservation holders for Monday travel will be prioritized on a first come, first basis, throughout the day. Standby space will be limited. New vehicle reservations are unavailable for Monday.

Is it just me or does it seem that the newest ferry has had way too many “repairs”. Seems like it’s down more than the older boats.
It made it a half a day this time!
Looks like we can include The Samish in the list of things in the “they just don’t buildem like they ustra” list.
Interesting discussion with a worker in Anacortes yesterday afternoon. What was stated to me was that there was a hole in the hull below the waterline. One large enough to stick a broom handle through. How and why it got there wasn’t speculated. Id love to be a fly on the wall for the meeting between the ferry management and the shipyard management.
