Edge Arts Exhibit hold its opening reception on Friday, Oct. 5, and is on display the month of October at the Orcas Center

From Orcas Center

Mark your calendar for this Friday, October 5th, and get ready to get your art on!  The popular Edge Arts alternative group art show returns to Orcas Center and its opening night exhibition promises to be a fabulous evening highlighting some of the best local art and creative folks found on Orcas.

The opening starts at 5:30 pm and goes into the evening. There will be stellar beer from the island’s favorite local beer masters – Island Hoppin’ Brewery – available for purchase as well as delicious wood-fired pizza for sale. Come early and make it a full night!

Back for its second year running, Edge Arts – A Community of Alternative Artists brings together a mélange of local artists who utilize alternative mediums to create gorgeous and unusual works. The show presents a nice combination of fine art and creative crafts representing some of Orcas’ lesser-known artists as well as the island’s stellar favorites.

Last year’s packed opening night was one of the most well-attended art openings in island history and this year proves to be even better, with more artists, more art, and more goodies to enjoy.  All art will be for sale at this show so bring your wallet and plan to splurge on something beautiful for yourself, your home, or your sweetie.

The show will be on view at Orcas Center throughout the rest of the month of October so feel free to stop by and check out the show later on if you can’t make it for Opening Night.
