Integrated (Eastern and Western) Approaches in Managing Acute/Chronic Pain Syndrome

Have you been suffering from headache, back/shoulder pain, fibromyalgia, menstrual cramps, arthritic pain, etc.? An estimated 5-8 million Americans use opioids for long-term management of chronic pain which can have harmful effects on their lives, including addiction. Moderate to severe pain is one of the most common reasons for primary care visits, and is the primary reason many Americans are on disability, which adds to the economic and social burden of suffering for the nation.
To address this health concern, Dr. Shu will discuss how and why an integrated modality by blending Eastern and Western medicine can alleviate this problem.
