It is a lesson on love and being true to yourself taught as only the Addams Family can.

The Addams Family – The Musical is a musical comedy with music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa and the book by Marshall Brickman and Rick Elice. The show is based upon “The Addams Family” characters created by Charles Addams in his single-panel gag cartoons, which depict a ghoulish American family with an affinity for all things macabre. The production has won numerous awards and has been nominated for several others.

Orcas Center welcomes guest director and choreographer from Seattle, Samuel J. Pettit.  Sam has worked as choreographer and director on such productions as Legally Blond, Oliver! Pirates of Penzance, Anything Goes, Peter Pan, Pippi Longstocking, Annie, Little Shop of Horrors, Seussical, and others.  Currently, he is Associate Artistic Director of Studio East Theatre and has been teaching theatre for 13 years and is the co-founder of ‘Origami Girl Productions’, voted ‘Best of Fest’ at the Seattle Fringe Festival.

Pettit says, “The most important thing about the Addamses that we know and love is that no matter how ghoulish, macabre or dark they seem, at the core they are all about family.”
