The Actors Theater of Orcas Island announces six performances of the play “Noises Off’ by Michael Frayn.  “Noises Off” is about a theater company presenting the play “Nothing On.”  You will see the dress rehearsal, the same production a month later and again at the close of the run two months later.  See what really happens backstage!

Noises Off is considered by many to be the best farce written in the past hundred years.  The New York Times called it: “The most dexterously realized comedy ever about putting on a comedy. A spectacularly funny, peerless backstage farce. This dizzy, well-known romp is festival of delirium.”   The New York Post said:  “The funniest farce ever written!”

The Actors Theater production of “Noises Off” has a wonderful mix of well known Orcas actors as well as a number of actors new to The Actors Theater with Patty Monaco in the role of Dotty Oakley, Frank Michels as Lloyd, the Director, Nick Hershenow as Garry, Kaitlyn Richards as Brooke, Dove Dingman as Poppy, the Assistant Stage Manager, Freddy Hinkle as Tim, the Stage Manager, Ron Herman as Frederick, Cele Westlake as Belinda and Tony Lee as Selsdon Mobray.  “Noises Off’ is directed by Doug Bechtel.
