UPDATE: San Juan County Public Works Operations Manager Russ Harvey reports Orcas Road has reopened.

The section of Orcas  Road between Nordstrom Lane and Crow Valley Road was closed for more than two hours today after a moving van ran out of control, rolled onto its side, split open and spilled much of its cargo onto the pavement. The truck had to be unloaded before it could be moved.

Shortly before noon, Harvey reported that road clean-up was complete.

No one was seriously injured in the accident.
