||| FROM ORCAS ISLAND PRIDE |||

Hi Orcas Island,

Thank you – for everything.

This year’s Pride Fest celebrations were the biggest they have EVER been, and it was all thanks to people like YOU! We are so thankful that the little island we call home rallies together in such incredible ways.

We at Orcas Pride want to reach out and let you all know – we haven’t disappeared! We took some much needed time to recollect from the summer.

We had a lot of internal upheaval after Pride Fest this year. Now, we have finally transmuted from the vague gaseous-ness of uncertainty and change into a solid form, ready to help our community.

We want to address a few things as we enter this new era.

First, you might notice that the “Photos” tab from our website has disappeared. This is intentional! As we have done more and more, the amount of photos we have has also increased. As of right now, it is too much for our little website to handle. We’re actively working on a new way to store and share the photos from past years. As soon as we find our new solution, we’ll let you all know! If any of y’all have tips, ideas, suggestions – please feel to reach out and share them! We are always welcome to ideas from the community.

Second, we are looking to curate a list of volunteers for future events! If you wish to join that list, please fill out the form below so we have your email. The idea: we have a list of volunteers to reach out to when an event rolls around, and whoever can help, helps!

Lastly, but definitely not least, beloved founding members of Orcas Pride, Laura and Maddie, have stepped down from their positions on the Board. We wish them all the best, and we can’t wait to see them around – and this time, they’ll be in the audience, living their best lives!

Thank you all again, and we hope to chat soon! Happy holiday season, and don’t let the cold linger too long!
