Koji Oyushi will join Tokiko Oyama from Sendai, Japan, to thank the Orcas community on Wednesday, July 18

Wednesday July 18  at the Odd Fellows Hall at 7:30.

Susan Osborn brings members of her Japanese community to Orcas Island to perform “A Dance of Gratitude.”

Tokiko Oyama and Koji Ogushi will perform on Wednesday, July 18,  at 7:30 p.m. at the Orcas Island Odd Fellows Hall. They will travel to Orcas from Oyama’s  home in Sendai Japan “to offer a performance of dance, martial art, and painting, as an expression of gratitude for our  support after the earthquake and  tsunami  last year,” says Osborn.

“Tokiko-san has asked that  any funds gathered  be used  for  children  and families in our community.” There will be an opportunity to make a donation of any amount  at the door.
