Orcas Center will again produce a community musical this spring: Gypsy will be performed April 22-24, 29, 30 and May 1, 2010.
The production will be directed by Deborah Sparks, with musical direction by Joe Babcock and choreography by Susan Babcock.
Auditions for Gypsy will take place this weekend: Children ages 8 years and older can audition on Saturday, January 9 from 10:30 a.m. to noon and on Sunday, January 10, from 10:30 a.m. to noon
Adults’ auditions will be held Saturday, January 9, from 6 to 8 p.m. and Sunday, January 10, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Call Backs for Children and Adults will be held Monday, January 11, from 6 to 8 p.m. Cast members are required to be available for an 11-week rehearsal period from January 31 – April 22. Children cast in the show will be required to take Susan Babcock’s dance class, and a chorus class with Grace McCune. Scholarships are available for families needing tuition assistance.
