The Orcas Center welcomes singer Susan Osborn back to the Orcas Center Main Stage. She will be joined by multi instrumentalist Bruce Harvie and special opening monologist Deborah Sparks.
Susan has made her home here on Orcas for 32 years and has thrilled audiences all over the world with her powerful voice and intimate presence. Nurtured by a wide range of voices of artists like Aretha Franklin and Ella Fitzgerald , Maria Callas and Phoebe Snow, and the songwriting of Leonard Cohen and Joni Mitchell, Randy Newman and Laura Nyro,
Susan’s music has covered a lot of ground in her 45 year career as a singer, songwriter, recording artist, and producer. Her voice can go from a whisper to a wail and can lead the listener directly to the soul. This c oncert will feature Susan on piano and acoustic guitar accompanied by Bruce Harvie on guitar and mandolin, an intimate musical conversation exploring original as well as other favorite songs. Expect to be moved, laugh and cry, and leave feeling more hopeful about being a human being.
