Crews will pour the bridge approach slabs at both the east and west abutments, remove the temporary wooden work platform used during last week’s bridge deck pour, install utility brackets for hanging conduit, and construct the new Channel Road alignment grade.

Crews will also place rocks along the bridge footings to form a protective barrier called scour protection, which helps to lessen the effects of erosion caused by waves.
