Kaleidoscope Preschool and Child Care Center is hosting another Value Village Donation Drive. The event will take place on Friday, March 18th from 9 am- 3 pm and Saturday, March 19th from 10 am- 4 pm. Drop off will be at Kaleidoscope, 1292 North Beach Rd. Donations of soft items such as linens, stuffed animals, and clothes, and books will be accepted in bags and boxes. You have just a couple weeks to clean out those closets.
Value Village offers payment by the pound for donations received in bulk from non-profits. A few months back, Kaleidoscope was able to fill an entire truck, over 3000 lbs! We discovered that it is best to collect heavy items like books and clothes, and that household goods were more challenging to pack, and had little return.
Value Village will accept any condition of soft item, even those that are unfit to sell. Mismatched socks and stained jeans are repurposed into a housing insulation product.
