Sunday, February 14, 1 – 2:30 p.m., Tharald Historic Homestead on Shaw

— from Boyd Pratt, San Juan County Land Bank —

Share a historical secret with your sweetie this Valentine’s Day! Join Boyd Pratt, architectural historian, on a guided tour of the privately owned Shaw Island pioneer farm, which is listed on the National Register of Historic Places and is protected by a Historic Preservation Easement held by the San Juan County Land Bank.

One of the best and oldest examples of its kind to survive in San Juan County, the Tharald Homestead is a terrific example of early Scandinavian settlement and “Nordic” style architecture within Washington State.

For more information and to register, email mulnocove@gmail.com or call Boyd Pratt at 360.378.7172.
