On 1/12/16 the listed subject brought a small plastic Ziploc style baggie to the S/O as found property. Subject stated that the package was found a few feet from the property, in the street in front of a residence on Linder Street. I weighed and tested the substance which weighed .7 grams while in its packaging
16-000199 Traffic Stop 15:06:07 01/13/16
On 01-13-2016, a deputy stopped a vehicle for speeding in the 3200 block of Orcas Road. Driver received an infraction for speeding 54 MPH in the posted 35 MPH Zone.
16-000202 Citizen Dispute 15:32:48 01/13/16
On 01-14-2016 at approximately 1532 hours a 17 year old male came to the Sheriff’s Office to report a dispute he was having with his father. The 17-year-old was going to have a talk with his father later in the evening to see if he could work the problem out.

On 01-15 a welfare check in Friday Harbor turned into a death investigation. It appears to be natural causes at this time. The Coroner was called and an investigation completed.
16-000237 Burglary – Residential 15:48:05 01/15/16
On Friday 01-15-2016 at approximately 1727 hours Deputies responded to a residence on the West side of San Juan Island to investigate a reported burglary. Latent prints and other evidence was gathered at the residence.

16-000241 Traffic Stop 01:47:29 01/16/16
On 01/16/16 at approximately 0147 hours a SJC Deputy stopped a vehicle in Eastsound for an expired vehicle registration. It was determined the driver was Driving Under the Influence of intoxicating liquor and/or drugs. The driver was arrested, processed and released with a promise to appear in court.

On January 16, 2016, a Lopez deputy was dispatched to a possible trespassing case. The responsible party was located and it was determined to be a miscommunication between involved parties.

16-000255 Communications Problem 14:28:30 01/17/16
On 01-17 a Friday Harbor resident reported that she believes her phone line was cut at part of an ongoing dispute. Deputies checked the box and spoke with the suspect and cannot confirm this. It was suggested the reporting party contact the phone company to examine and repair the lines.

On 01/19/16, a deputy contacted a reporting parting regarding a child custody
issue. After further conversation, an information report was taken.
16-000294 Traffic Hazard 18:04:18 01/19/16
January 19, a Lopez Island deputy discovered a vehicle left parked in the roadway creating a hazard. The vehicle was removed by the responsible party after being contacted by the deputy.
16-000300 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 22:28:59 01/19/16
January 19, a Lopez Island woman reported suspicious males loitering near a Lopez Island business. All involved had left prior to the deputy’s arrival.
