On the morning of 11-11-2015, this Deputy initiated a traffic stop for speeding in the 8400 block of cattle Point. I issued the driver an infraction for speeding.

On 11/11/15, an Orcas deputy responded to a single vehicle injury traffic collision. The driver was medivaced to the hospital.

On 11/11/15, an Orcas deputy assisted the family resource center with a client that had questions and was seeking advice from law enforcement.
15-006644 Accident-NonInj 11:49:14 11/11/15
On the morning of 11-11-2015, this Deputy responded to a non-injury collision on Sutton Road. Driver stated he was blinded by the sun and drove off the road colliding with two trees. Driver received an infraction for driving without a valid driver’s license and operating a motor vehicle without insurance.

Deputies responded to a residence in Friday Harbor to investigate a reported domestic dispute. After interviewing both parties and arrest was made for domestic assault.

On 11/12/15, a school bus driver reported a person passing the school bus while it was stopped to pick up a student. Further investigation is unable to confirm the identity of the passing driver.
15-006658 Traffic Stop 12:32:00 11/12/15
On the afternoon of 11-12-2015, this deputy initiated a traffic stop in the 800 block of Mullis Street for speeding. The driver was issued a speeding infraction.
15-006663 Domestic Dispute or Assault 22:22:52 11/12/15
On 11-12-15 at 2222 hours Deputies in Friday Harbor received a report of a domestic. The male in the incident was arrested for assault 4th degree DV.

15-006666 Traffic Stop 09:57:58 11/13/15
On the morning of 11-13-2015, I initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for speeding in the 1500 block of Fisherman Bay Road. I issued the driver a notice of Infraction for Speeding.
15-006667 Vicious Animal 10:25:39 11/13/15
On 11/13/15 a SJC Sheriff Deputy investigated a complaint of a dog attacking another dog. After further investigation, it is believed that the responsible person(s) had separated the dogs and no criminal violations had occurred.
15-006669 Traffic Stop 10:59:21 11/13/15
On the morning of 11-13-2015, I initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for expired registration since 08-2013. The driver of this vehicle had been stopped for this same issue on 7-2015. I issued the driver a notice of infraction for failure to register vehicle over two months.
15-006670 Malicious Mischief 11:25:09 11/13/15
On 11/13/15 the reporting deputy responded to a report of Malicious Mischief in the Friday Harbor area. the reporting deputy arrived and contacted the caller. The caller advised that sometime over the Tuesday or Wednesday nights, a construction trailer was “tagged”. Photos of the “tag” were taken.

Deputies responded to the Terrace Neighborhood to investigate a report of a traffic accident. The driver was arrested for operating a motor vehicle under the influence of intoxicating liquor.

On 11/14/16 a SJC Sheriff Deputy received a complaint regarding theft and neglected care of an elderly man on Orcas Island. The case is currently under investigation.
15-006694 Animal at Large 11:17:20 11/14/15
On 11/14 reporting deputy was dispatched to the San Juan Island area on a Dog at Large. The deputy met the caller, who turned a dog over. The caller advised that it was an ongoing problem. The dog was transported to animal shelter and an infraction was issued to the dog’s owner for Dogs at Large.

On the afternoon of 11-14-2015, I initiated a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle in the 3200 block of Orcas Road. I issued the driver an Infraction for speed and a warning for expired vehicle registration over two months.

On the afternoon of 11-14-2015, I initiated a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle in the 3200 block of Orcas Road. I issued the driver an Infraction for speeding 58 MPH in the posted 35 MPH zone.

On the afternoon of 11-14-2015, I initiated a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle in the 3200 block of Orcas Road. I issued the driver an Infraction for speeding 50 MPH in the posted 35 MPH zone.
15-006703 Burglary – Residential 14:35:55 11/14/15
On November 14, 2015, a part time Lopez resident reported it appeared someone had occupied a trailer at her residence. A deputy collected evidence, and an investigation is ongoing.
15-006709 Theft 19:03:06 11/14/15
On Sat 11-14-2015 at approximately 1903 hours a Friday Harbor resident reported his electric bicycle was stolen from the American Legion in Friday Harbor. The bicycle is described as a 2007 Black Portocall Phantom-X. The theft took place between 1800 hours and 1900 hours.

On 11/15/15 the reporting deputy was dispatched to the Friday Harbor area in reference to an Attempted Burglary. The reporting deputy arrived and contacted the caller. The caller advised that sometime over the previous night, a window was damaged. The caller advised that entry was not made into the business.

On 11/16/15 the reporting deputy had contact with the caller in reference to Harassing Phone Calls. The caller is receiving unwanted calls from a service. The calls are coming from multiple phone numbers. The caller is going to keep a log and follow up with the reporting deputy in a week.

On 11/17/15 a SJC Deputy responded to a possible Burglary at the Orcas Island Middle School. Further investigation revealed that it was a false alarm and no persons had made entry into the school. Case closed.
15-006735 Malicious Mischief 09:38:01 11/17/15
On 11/17/15 the reporting deputy was dispatched to the San Juan Island area in reference to a Malicious Mischief. The reporting deputy arrived and contacted the caller. the caller advised that sometime over the previous night, someone had “tagged” the side of a barn on the property. Photos were taken.
15-006744 Assault – Body Force 14:08:09 11/17/15
November 17, a Lopez Island youth was referred to juvenile authorities in connection with an after school incident at the Lopez Island High School. The youth was released to family pending a court appearance.
