— from Barbara Kline, Orcas Schools Superintendent —

The members of the Orcas Island School District Board are beginning their search for a new superintendent and want your input on Thursday, January 9 at 5:30 p.m. in the school library.

Our Superintendent Search Consultant, Rich Parker, will be present to listen and collect your ideas about what you want to see in the next superintendent of the Orcas Island School District.
Some questions to consider:

  • What are the strengths of the Orcas Island School District?
  • What challenges/issues do you see ahead for the Orcas Island School District?
  • What are the unique qualities that you see in the Orcas Island community?
  • What are the characteristics/professional skills that are particularly desirable in a new superintendent?

Think about these questions and your own, and bring your ideas to the parent and community meeting on Thursday, January 9 at 5:30 p.m. in the school library
