Fast approaching is the 15th annual Orcas Center/Island Market/Red Rabbit Farm Golf Classic. All net proceeds of the Golf Classic support Orcas Center programs and operations.
Golfers of all skill levels are encouraged to participate in this 18-hole scramble, and prizes will be awarded to the winning teams. In addition, a new feature this year is a raffle, a ticket for which all golfers will, to win valuable prizes such as 2 round-trip tickets on Alaska Airlines (a $1,740 value), a flat-screen tv, and a golfer’s GPS system. Raffle tickets for these prizes may also be purchased by non-golfers for $2 or 3 for $5, at Country Corner and at Orcas Center.
Golf Classic participants are encouraged to dress as famous golfers at the tournament, and a prize for the best costume will be awarded.
The Golf Classic will begin at 9:30 am with a continental breakfast. At 11 am, tee time will be announced with a shotgun blast, and golfers will have lunch at the turn. Immediately following the game, there will be an awards ceremony and hearty buffet reception catered by Red Rabbit Farm.
Registration is $125 and includes greens fee, goodie bag, continental breakfast, lunch, reception buffet, hosted wine and beer bar, and a raffle ticket. Non-golfers are invited to join the fun at the reception, at a cost of only $25.
