San Juan County Fire Protection District No 2 (dba Orcas Island Fire and Rescue) is seeking applications from those interested in being appointed to write the “for” or “against” statements for the San Juan County Local Voters’ Pamphlets related to the District’s Bond ballot measure to be considered at the November 2025 election.
Interested persons should give their name, address, phone number, email, and which position they would represent to Jen Krauss, Office Manager and Board Secretary, either in person at 45 Lavender Lane, Eastsound, WA 98245 or via email to jkrauss@orcasfire.org by July 30.
The appointment of the writers, both pro and con, will be finalized on Monday, August 4 at the regular board meeting.
