Come meet the Orcas Master Gardeners and learn alongside them. Join us for a DIG IN Member Experience beginning with a hands-on tool sharpening experience with a whetstone and oil. Next, learn how to make successful cuts on dwarf fruit trees and other shrubs with your newly refurbished shears – no ladders required! Pruning your fruit trees can improve their health and harvests PLUS tool care is more fun with friends.

We are so grateful to have our expert and friend, Marguerite Greening lead us through this workshop which will help us learn how to get our fruit trees ready for the growing season through pruning.

This Pruning Workshop is co-sponsored by the San Juan County Master Gardener Foundation and the Orcas Island Garden Club.

Reminders and Tips:

Dress warmly for possible rain

Bring dull gardening pruning shears

Carpooling is encouraged
