T’ai Chi is an ancient Chinese practice of simple, quiet movements.  Regular practice cultivates, circulates, and balances the internal Vital Force known as chi energy.

T’ai Chi is often described as meditation in motion, but it might well be called “medication in motion,” according to Harvard Medical School’s Health publication in June 2009.

For many centuries, T’ai Chi’s philosophy and practice was a closely guarded secret.  Fortunately, this knowledge is being shared with millions of people around the world today.  A free Introductory Class will be offered Monday, September 14 at 9:30a.m. at the Orcas Senior Center.

The class will continue on Monday mornings until Nov. 2.

Level 1 classes will be from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. and Level 2 classes will be from 11 a.m. to noon. The cost for the series is $80.
