Crow Valley Pottery presents the fourth and final offering in is its Summer Show Series for 2011!  “Three Artists, Three Mediums” brings together the distinctly varied works of three spectacular and very different artists!  Debby Neely, Betty Reynolds and David Ridgway all present their own unique talents to the gallery… with surprisingly wonderful and well-matched results!

"Best Burger" by Betty Reynolds

Betty Reynolds paints in watercolor, and her background in commercial art and marketing is evident in her illustrative style.  Having written and produced Japanese children’s books,  it was a “personal creative expression” for Betty to now captured ‘snapshots’ of Island life and create stories through her brushes.  In this, Betty’s first gallery art show, visitors will enjoy works from the Lower Tavern to the Saturday Market…  presenting Orcas at its very best and often irreverent self!

Debby Neely has been a ‘regular’ on the Crow Valley artists roster for several seasons… and her true, classic style, woodblock printing is much enjoyed and widely collected.  For this show, Debby presents a new and contemporary style of her woodcuts, with larger, bolder images and richer contrast in her cuts.  And of course new subjects and series of work as well.  And as a special addition to the show, this artist and art instructor will also be demonstrating her skilled techniques throughout the opening weekend!

David Ridgway needs no introduction; this beloved local artist has for years captured not just the scenes and styles of Orcas… but also the hearts and souls of many.  Well known for his immediately recognizable plein-air style, with broad brush strokes and deep colors, new works from David are always much anticipated and enjoyed by his loyal following of clients and fans.
“Three Artists, Three Mediums” opens this Friday with an artist’s reception at Crow Valley’s downtown Eastsound gallery, Friday August 5th, from 4 to 7 p.m.  Please join Crow Valley for a spectacular showing of Orcas and our region!  The special show runs through Labor Day.

Please phone Crow Valley at 376 4260 for additional information.
