A Friday Harbor Deputy responded to the San Juan County District Court to take a male into custody on an order of commitment. The male was taken into custody and booked into jail without incident. Report made.

A Lopez Island resident asked a Deputy to take several rounds of miscellaneous ammunition for safe disposal.

San Juan Deputies responded to a call regarding suspicious activity. A subject with local warrants was located, arrested, and booked into jail.

A Lopez resident requested assistance with a harassment situation.

A Lopez Deputy investigated a van versus motorcycle collision.

A San Juan Deputy responded to a report of a hit and run collision. There are no suspects at this time and the incident was documented.

A patrol vehicle was hit by a deer. The incident was documented.

A Deputy on San Juan responded to a report of a domestic violence incident. The incident was found to be verbal and no crime was committed.

A Deputy on Orcas was dispatched to the public library. The Deputy picked up two bikes that had been in the bike racks for over three weeks.
20-008862 Welfare Check 20:12:37 10/16/20
A Deputy conducted a welfare check at a Lopez Island residence after a person called and claimed that the juvenile children at the home were in danger because the parent was not home. The Deputy determined that the parent was home and that the complaint was unfounded. A report was completed.
20-008867 Suspicious Person/Circumstance 23:17:45 10/16/20
A Deputy on Orcas Island responded to a report of an unwanted person. The complaint involved a conflict between a homeowner and an unwelcomed tenant. No laws appeared to have been broken. The homeowner was advised to petition the Court to have the tenant evicted.

San Juan Deputies responded to a report of a domestic in Friday Harbor. One person was arrested for assault in the fourth degree – DV and was booked into the San Juan County Jail.

An Orcas Island Deputy responded to an agency assist in the Eastsound area. A report was taken.

A Deputy on San Juan responded to a welfare check. The subject was contacted and denied needing help.

A Deputy responded to a report of a noise complaint. The subject was contacted and advised of the noise ordinance.

A speeding driver fled from a Lopez Deputy. The driver crashed after failing to negotiate a turn and was flown off for medical care. Charges of DUI, reckless driving, and felony eluding will be filed.

An Orcas Island Deputy conducted an area check at the West Sound County Dock. At about 2250 hours there was a vessel located at the dock which had been issued numerous infractions for unlawful overnight moorage before. The Deputy issued the vessel an infraction.

A Deputy responded to a call back report of an attempt unemployment fraud in Michigan. A case number was provided to the caller to give to the credit agencies and a report made.

A Deputy on San Juan responded to a trouble unknown. Deputies found there to be a juvenile problem. Some information and guidance was provided to all involved.
20-008958 Burglary – Residential 23:25:41 10/19/20
A Deputy on San Juan responded to a report of a burglary in progress. It was reported the intruder was shot. Upon investigation no one was found injured. Deputies believed this was a “swatting” incident and found to be a false report.

A Deputy on San Juan responded to a report of someone screaming. The Deputy was unable to locate anyone in distress.

A Lopez Island Deputy was called regarding a horse running at large near the Center Church. The horse was located, and with some help from Lopez equestrian community, the horse owner was quickly identified and reunited with the wandering steed.

A Deputy responded to a report of a fraud involving a Facebook account being hacked. There was no monetary loss incurred and no suspects or workable leads. Information report made.

A Lopez Island Deputy was sent on a report of a dog running at large in the area of Hummel Lake Rd and Port Stanley. The dog was gone when the Deputy arrived in the area.
